    Inclusion Quality Mark

nclusion Quality Mark (IQM) – Centre of Excellence

    Lead: Mrs E Wynne

We are delighted to have achieved the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Centre of Excellence Award, a prestigious national recognition of our commitment to inclusive education and outstanding practice. Achieving Centre of Excellence status is a significant accomplishment and reflects the high-quality support, provision, and opportunities we provide for all pupils, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

What is the Inclusion Quality Mark?

The Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) is a nationally recognised award that celebrates schools demonstrating exceptional inclusive practice. It recognises schools where inclusion is embedded throughout leadership, teaching, learning, wellbeing, and school culture. Following a rigorous external assessment, our school was awarded Centre of Excellence status, recognising our commitment to ensuring that every child is valued, supported, and enabled to achieve their full potential.

At the heart of IQM is the belief that every child deserves access to high-quality education, regardless of their needs, abilities, background, or circumstances. The award acknowledges schools that not only meet these expectations but also act as exemplars of inclusive practice for others.

    Achieving Centre of Excellence Status

The assessment process involved a detailed evaluation of our provision across all aspects of school life, including:

    • Leadership and strategic commitment to inclusion.
    • High-quality teaching and learning that meets diverse needs.
    • Personalised support and interventions for pupils.
    • Strong partnerships with families and external agencies.
    • Promotion of emotional wellbeing and positive relationships.
    • Inclusive environments that enable pupils to thrive.
    • Positive outcomes and opportunities for all learners.

The assessor recognised the strength of our inclusive ethos, the dedication of our staff team, and the impact our provision has on pupils' learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
